Leone de Castris Wine Hotel is located in the “DOC Salice Salentino” area, few kilometers from the “DOC Primitivo di Manduria” area, hinterland of Salento, in the province of Lecce, only a few kilometers from the most beautiful beaches in Italy, such as Porto Cesareo and others along the Ionian and Adriatic coast. Here, the hospitality is enriched by new value and meaning, with experiential pathways characterized by the combination between food and wine, territory and history. The Hotel, son of the oldest winery in Apulia, Cantina Leone de Castris, is composed of 24 large and comfortable rooms, each one connected to the history of the most important labels of the Company. The Wine Museum, dedicated to the memory of two main characters of the Apulia’s viticulture “Piero and Salvatore Leone de Castris”, tells the fundamental stages of the Company history and that of wine in Apulia.

Lastly, two new wine bars complete the pathway: “FiveRoses Club 1943” in Salice
Salentino and “Five Roses Club 1943 no. 2” in the center of Lecce.

Here you can start your day with an excellent sweet or savoury breakfast.

The two wine bars, with a simple and elegant design, offer environments with an intimate and informal atmosphere where you can taste Leone de Castris wines, accompanying them to high-quality products which are exclusively from Apulia.

Das Hotel liegt circa 20 km von Lecce entfernt. Damit hat man eine sehr gute Ausgangslage für Erkundungen in der ganzen Umgebung, ohne jedesmal erst aus der Stadt herauszufahren und für Lecce selbst reicht ein Tag.
Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse in Ordnung, die Küche selbst von hoher Qualität.
Das Personal kümmerte sich vorbildlich um alle Wünsche.
